Ārāma Karuṇā Sevena

The ārāma was founded as a monastic dwelling for bhikkhunī Visuddhi. The ārāma Karuṇā Sevena is a place silent contemplation, meditation and training of living a seclusive life. It is a space free from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It is a suitable environment for those who seek refuge in the Triple Gem (Buddha-the teacher, Dhamma- the teaching, Saṅgha-the monastic) and seek a space for spiritual practice. It is suitable for those who want to spend some time in tranquility, meditation within a protected environment.

The ārāma is composed of an area dedicated to the living of Bhikkhunī Visuddhi, which is inaccessible to lay practitioners, and a communal area, where all the activities are held and it is a silent space available for the meditation practice.

The dwelling has now available a new building “Viveka'' for the overnight stays of lay practitioners. It can host 9 people at the moment.

Association Karuṇā Sevena

We are a small group of practitioners and devotees who decided to create this association in order to provide our support to Venerable Bhikkhunī Visuddhi.

The members are often deeply interested in the Buddha’s teaching and have been practicing according to it. We are grateful to all the present and past members, who have kindly been supporting the monastic life of Venerable Bhikkhunī Visuddhi and the ārāma.
